Waterproofing In Building Top Slab
Technical specification : Existing old loose PCC (screed) to be removed using chisel, hammer drill machine and other cleaning equipment. Cracks if any one old screed or RCC surface underneath to be exposed in V shape. Lastly surface to be made dust free using air blower. This surface preparation work to be executed in parapet wall corner patches if damaged.
On full dry and dust free condition apply Zycosil Max/Zycosil plus mixing with clean water in 1:45 (in liter) by
flooding method on horizontal surface and the whole parapet wall envelop till saturation
with a coverage of 450-500 sqft per 46 ltr solution. Wet on wet immediately
followed by application of Zycobond Max mixing with water 1:1 by using
brush/roller with a coverage of 150-200 sqft per 2 ltr solution. Leave the
surface for full dry. After one day apply one coat of ELASTOSIL /ZYCOPRIME Make
Zydex by mixing with grey cement and water as required for
brushability ( 1 ltr Elastosil + 750 gm cement + 500 ml water). After 24
hrs fill the crack grooves with modified mortar. One/two days before new PCC
(screed) work 2nd coat of Elastosil/Zycoprime to be applied like first coat.
In screed mortar Zydex Make Densiflex –P/ZYCREAT 2X
to be mixed @ 300 ml/ one bag of cement mortar.Water curing to be done for 15
days.
